VERTUS WELLBORN HARDIMAN

1922-2007

GOD REST HIS SOUL

Do you know

HISTORY

OR HIS STORY?

let’s walk down a path

of the forgotten

of the unknown

no celebrity

was he

but a victim

a child

experimented on

in the name of science

he and nine others

lied to

deceived

irradicated

with gross neglect

oh, the horror

baby boy’s head

gutted open

a hole left

for life

well, what about his life?

he became an outstanding employee

lived in Cali

ate

worked

voted

lived

yet, some part

of his heart

some part

of his soul

had to be dead

oh, my GOD

how, he was mislead

cut and bruised

diminished

and used

WHY?

in the name of science

would a child be debased

could it be

because of his race

the color of his face

where was God’s grace

that day

when men and women

harmed this child

guess God was there

guess God gave him courage

guess God gave him hope

guess God gave him comfort

God had to be there

had to hold his little hand

in man’s forsaken land

please learn history

please read HIS STORY

please keep the horror alive

so other souls will never

die

in the name of science
